- What is a backlink analyzer and what does mine show?
- A backlink analyzer lists the pages and domains that link to a site. Ours returns backlinks, referring domains, anchor text, top pages and a 0-100 Domain Rating for any domain, as JSON. The overview and DR lookups are free and need no key.
- Do links to my app-store page show up?
- Only if our crawler found them, and store pages sit on other companies' domains. The tool is strongest for the domain you control: landing page, docs and changelog. Look up the store domain too, but treat the result as a rough signal, not a measurement of your listing.
- How fresh is the data?
- The index refreshes roughly once a month. A link someone added last week may not appear yet, so a launch-day check will look empty. Wait for the next refresh before you decide that a post produced nothing.
- Is there a free backlink analysis I can run today?
- Yes. The
domain,overview,statsandsuggestactions cost nothing and need no key, and the DR checker on this page uses the first of them. Paid actions start at 1 credit, and the first report walkthrough shows what to run with the $100 sign-up credit. - How much does a month of checking cost?
- Prepaid credit costs $0.0001 each, so 1,000 calls at 1 credit are $0.10. A weekly refdomains pull for you and four rivals is 20 calls a month at 2 credits each, which is $0.004. There is no subscription.
- Can I put the key in my mobile app?
- Don't. A key shipped in an app bundle can be extracted, and every call spends your balance. Keep the key on a server or a build script and let the app, if it needs the data, talk to your own endpoint.
- Is DR the same as the number in Ahrefs?
- No. Our DR is our own metric: round(100 times log(ref_domains+1) divided by log(2 times 10^7)). It is a log scale on referring domains, comparable in spirit to Ahrefs DR or Moz DA, but the numbers will differ.
